Urban jungle above the rooftops of Frankfurt
where architecture meets nature.
In the middle of Frankfurt’s city centre, at Börsenplatz, the “Taurus” building was extensively deconstructed and fully refurbished. The goal was to breathe new life into this distinctive structure – high-quality, modern, and with a strong focus on user comfort. Besides the impressive architecture, the planners placed particular emphasis on the green inner courtyards: green oases offering retreat within the dense urban environment.

Frankfurt Taurus
At the heart of the design was euroform w from South Tyrol – a specialist in high-quality outdoor furniture that combines design, functionality, and durability. For the “Taurus” courtyard, euroform w manufactured custom seating islands and structures that not only convince aesthetically but turn the space into a genuine experience. The German general agency Public Scapes supported the project on site, coordinating planning and implementation.
The result is elegant oval seating islands made of Movingui wood (FSC 100% certified, untreated) and powder-coated steel (RAL 7011) – durable, robust, and radiating a warm, natural character.
The highlight is the steel cladding with an integrated planter that wraps the concrete wall in an elegant form and invites people to linger thanks to its generous seating surface. Another planter adds further greenery – transforming the rooftop surface into a lush oasis in the heart of the city.
The dimensions impress: the longest element measures 13 metres, while the other three seating islands are around 5 metres each. All elements combine design, sustainability, and functionality – a perfect symbiosis of nature and urban space.
