Frank Person conceives, designs and develops products, primarily everyday objects. The focus is on a distinctive design language, intuitive usability and well-thought-out functionality – not in the sense of dogmatic functionalism, but always with the aim of appealing to the senses. His design approach is based on an economically appropriate balance of aesthetics, use and manufacture – in the spirit of the beautiful, the true and the good. In doing so, he navigates between new and traditional technology, as well as between innovation and familiarity. As a product designer, Frank Person sees himself as a catalyst and facilitator, aiming to distil the essential and, together with all stakeholders, develop products that adhere to the principles of ‘good form’ – functional, ergonomic and sustainable, with a sense of responsibility towards future generations.
