In order to protect and preserve our environment, we pay particular attention to CO2-neutral production when manufacturing our products - from the initial idea to the finished piece of furniture. Several decades ago, the Winkler brothers were already keen to find solutions for the design of open spaces that were as useful as they were aesthetic. It should always be communicative. This was the one essential approach. Environmental friendliness was the other, at least as important. 

One of our latest projects in Sesto in the South Tyrolean Dolomites! With its new outdoor design - planned by Studio Ing. Brunetti - the "Waldheim" sports zone functions as a play, recreation and communication area for sports enthusiasts, residents and guests. Our bespoke Isola seating islands are made from FSC 100% certified hardwood and have been produced in a sustainable way.

We have calculated the CO2 emissions of our company for the year 2020 and in return we supported the afforestation project in Panama.
We've been doing this since 2007 (on a voluntary basis) and we were able to reforest 34,21 ha of fallow land with 37.218 trees.

The theme for this year's Earth Day is "Restore Our Earth" which focuses on natural processes and emerging green technologies that can restore the world's ecosystems.

World Wildlife Day will be celebrated in 2021 under the theme "Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet", as a way to highlight the central role of forests, forest species and ecosystems services in sustaining the livelihoods of hundreds of millions of people globally, and particularly of Indigenous and local communities with historic ties to forested and forest-adjacent areas.

The way public spaces are designed could change in a post-pandemic world, along with how they’re prioritized in urban areas. As the pandemic has converted people into full time pedestrians, public spaces have been some of the few sources of leisure outside of the home.

A new seating island winds its way through the Unna district of Königsborn, and the Neurotter Community School in Ketsch has reason to be happy: six new Big Planters now embellish the forecourt.

Until recently, the traveller at Cottbus Central Station could only find a few benches to sit on. For hot days there were no shady places. In the course of new marketing concepts, the forecourt was also to become a meeting place for Cottbus residents and visitors. Now our Isola benches and Big Planter invite you to linger and relax.
